Winter Training Series @ NSC
Elevate your game this off-season with the Rising Stars Baseball Academy Winter Training Series. Learn proper mechanics in the areas of fielding, pitching, hitting, baserunning, as well as techniques and tips from the mental side of the game, while understanding Baseball IQ and game situations from top coaches in the Minnesota youth baseball community. MYAS Rising Stars Clinicians provide youth baseball players top of the line instruction in a supportive environment. Our coaches provide an innovative instructional experience designed for each youth baseball players need. This Rising Stars Academy Winter Training Series offerings will be held at the the world's largest amateur sports facility, National Sports Center in Blaine, MN (NSC). The MYAS and Lovdahl Pitching Academy are excited to collaborate with the NSC in order to hold our Winter Training Series at the top indoor sports facilities in the state of Minnesota.
The MYAS looks forward to holding the Rising Stars Baseball Academy MEA Training Sessions in the NSC Sports Hall, complete with FieldTurf Revolution 360, a top-of-the-line turf. We are eager and excited to hold the remaining sessions of the Winter Training Series (Thanksgiving and Christmas) at the NEW M Health Fairview Indoor Sports Dome. This dome is 110 feet tall by 260 feet wide by 450 long and cover 117,260 square feet. This dome is an 8 story high seasonal structure and is the largest in the state of Minnesota. We are proud to collaborate with the NSC to provide an opportunity for our Rising Stars to train and develop throughout the off-season as they prepare for the 2021 season.
In teaching the fundamentals skills of baseball, our development program is designed to enhance the youth baseball players' IQ and prepare them for game play and game situations. Our coaches will teach, and our players will learn to understand:
Pitching, Hitting, Throwing, Defensive Skills (Infield & Outfield), Catching, Base Running, Mental Approach, Baseball IQ
Each session will consist of Player Development from Rising Stars Baseball Development experts, top notch youth baseball development specialist, and current and former professional and collegiate ball players.

MYAS/Gopher State is excited to announce the new Rising Stars Baseball Academy! The mission of the Rising Stars Baseball Academy is to offer an affordable, cost effective option for player development and instruction to all youth baseball players throughout the state of Minnesota. Ultimately, our goal is to provide youth baseball players, regardless of their skill level, an opportunity to further their game by learning from some of the best instructors that Minnesota has to offer. We are extremely fortunate to have Erik Lovdahl, Dave Hieb, Bo Lovdahl and MN Baseball Hall of Famer, John Wilkens on board as our Rising Stars Baseball Development experts. Other top notch youth baseball development specialist, along with former Gopher State participants and current professional ball players, such as Matt Wallner and Louie Varland, will be special guests during the sessions. Our offerings will vary from general baseball instruction to advanced player development for youth players, ages 8U-15U. The intent of the Academy is to provide superior instruction, premier player development, at an affordable price point, focusing on the community-based youth baseball player.
We are excited to offer another great opportunity to further develop youth baseball players throughout the state of Minnesota. Our new offering this winter, the MYAS Rising Stars Baseball Winter Training Series, will enhance the experience and develop the mental and physical side of the game of baseball for all participants as that will allow them to continue their youth baseball career with their local community-based youth baseball association.
Social distancing will be in effect and players will be placed into pods of as clinicians will rotate through groups and instruct them in their area of expertise. Players will be instructed on every facet of the game from how to field a ground ball to how they can take advantage of the game simply by altering their mindset.
The MYAS Rising Stars Staff will be strictly following the guidance made by the Minnesota Department of Health Healthy and those guidelines set forth by the National Sports Center related to COVID-19 return to play preparedness plans as well as our own COVID-19 Rising Stars Sports Academy Precautions.

MEA Overall Skills Training Session
The Overall Skills session is a Kick Off to the winter training season. It will provide an all-inclusive baseball camp (pitching, catching, fielding, hitting, base running, mental approach, baseball IQ etc.) for all Rising Stars.
A maximum of 75 players are allowed per session (3 pods of 25)

MEA Infield/Outfield/Throwing Session
This session will focus on some of the most important aspects of the game. These aspects are Infield/outfield and throwing development. Stations will include work on ground balls, fly balls, footwork, throwing mechanics, mental approach to the game and injury prevention.
A maximum of 75 players are allowed per session (3 pods of 25)
