Welcome to the 2019-2020 Minnesota Community Based Winter Basketball Season!
In an effort to continue providing resources and tools that will assist youth volunteer coaches, parents, and officials and the associations that serve them, the Minnesota Youth Athletic Services (MYAS) is excited to team up with two-time National Champion and College Coach of the Year, Coach John Tauer, during the 2019-2020 winter basketball season.
As a longtime supporter of the MYAS and a firm belief in our mission of improving the delivery of youth sports services, Tauer felt it was important to share his knowledge, experience, and expertise as a professor, collegiate basketball coach, author, youth volunteer basketball coach, and father with the thousands of youth basketball coaches throughout the state of Minnesota.
The MYAS believes these short videos produced by Coach Tauer (link below) will provide additional tools and resources necessary to help you navigate through the five-month winter traveling basketball season. More importantly, these helpful tips will help you understand why we are all part of this youth sports process to provide a safe, positive, and productive experience for today’s Minnesota youth athlete!
