This program is designed to assist invitational basketball tournament directors with advertising their events, and to help coaches, teams and other interested persons find invitational tournaments throughout Minnesota.

Tournament directors provide the MYAS with copies of their boys' or girls' flyers for the upcoming winter basketball season (October-March/April). The MYAS then collates the flyers into boys' and girls' tournament books for distribution to the participating tournament directors, MYAS Winter Basketball League coaches and basketball teams/enthusiasts around the state.

If you have a tournament(s) that you would like to include in the books, please click here to download information about what you need to do. The deadline for submitting flyers for the 2012-13 tournament books is Monday, July 9, 2012.

POINTS TO REMEMBER:

1.  ***NEW*** for 2012-13: All flyers MUST state that open/all-star and/or renegade/independent teams will not be allowed to participate in your tournament.
2.  The MYAS will not advertise for tournaments offering open/all-star and/or renegade/independent divisions, or for any tournaments that knowingly allow open/all-star and/or renegade/independent teams to participate in their events.
3.  The MYAS reserves the right to refuse tournament advertisements from persons/organizations considered to be competitors of the MYAS and/or any of the bona fide youth basketball associations that we serve.
4.  All flyers will be subject to approval by the MYAS basketball staff. If your flyer is not approved, you will be notified and your flyers (if requested) and service fee will be returned to you.
5.  If you have questions about this policy, contact the MYAS before printing/submitting your flyers.

DEFINITIONS:

"Open/All-Star" Teams are defined as those that are comprised of players from multiple communities where recognized youth associations exist.

"Renegade/Independent" Teams
are defined as those that are comprised of players who all reside in the same community or attend the same school, but that have chosen to bypass the local traveling association.

Invitational tournament books will be available for purchase in mid-August (exact date TBD). If you would like to pre-order a copy of the boys' and/or girls' tournament book, please click
here to download a copy of the order form.
