Fall league for Girls and Boys grades 4-12 in September and November. Teams play double-headers on Sundays. The 2011 MYAS Gopher State Fall Basketball League once again had a tremendous following with 400 participating teams.

The MYAS Gopher State Winter Basketball League (formerly the BTBL and GMBL)is a convenient league during the winter season that will not occupy all your time on the weekend. The league offers a 12-game schedule where teams play double-headers on Saturdays. The league allows teams the opportunity to play in quality games that will help players develop their skills without the pressure of winning another tournament. Many coaches have re-discovered the Gopher State Winter Basketball League to be the perfect fit for their team. The league is held during the months of December-March for 4th-12th grade teams emanating from a bona fide community athletic association, school program or rec/in-house program.

The MYAS Gopher State Spring Basketball program had 3,400 team entries in 2011. We are very excited that over 90% of the spring basketball participants in Minnesota chose to play with MYAS. Providing a positive basketball experience for players of all ages and skill levels has been our goal since MYAS was created in 1991.
All participating teams MUST have USSSA team membership. Cost is $25. Go to www.usssa.com to register. MYAS does not require any additional membership fees to participate, thus saving most teams $150-$200. Gopher State Spring Basketball tournaments are open to teams from across the country and are highlighted with the Gopher State Spring Championships and the "Quest for the Rings".

The Minnesota Youth Athletic Services is dedicated to providing quality opportunities for athletes to play basketball. For 2012, high school teams have multiple opportunities to play, discounts for playing multiple weekends and the season is highlighted with the 11th Annual Gopher State Prep Showcase June 16-17, 2012 at the air-conditioned Prior Lake High School.

March Madness, "Minnesota Style", is buzzing throughout the metro area. The MYAS is looking forward to the 2012 Grade State Championships! This year's state tournament will be the largest in its history, and we hope that you will be able to witness the madness at a court near you!
The tournament is all set to take place on March 3-4 (girls) and March 10-11(boys). The girls' Championships will feature a total of 515 teams in 4th-9th grade that have been seeded into a total of 35 divisions. The boys' Championship field is made up of 717 teams in 4th-9th grade and will be spread out over a total of 48 divisions. Traveling teams will once again pour their heart and soul into every game to determine who will be crowned state champion in their respective grade and division. It truly will be "one shining moment" for the youth of Minnesota.

The MYAS basketball invitational tournament flyer program is designed to assist invitational basketball tournament directors with advertising their events, and to help coaches and other interested persons find tournaments.

This event is designed to educate the officers of youth sports associations (Presidents, Secetary/Treasurers, Travel Directors/Coaching Coordinators, Tournament/Fundraising Directors and other officers) in the effective operation of their organization.

The Rec State Basketball Championships are held for boys and girls teams in grades 4-9 that participate in a city park and recreation program, community education or in-house program. The Rec State Basketball Championship now offers a High School division for boys and girls. Teams in grades 10-12 that participate in an in-house program or a high school intramural program are eligible to participate. No traveling teams are permitted to play in this tournament! The make-up of all teams will be verified by the league directors or supervisors of park and recreation.

MYAS winter basketball tournaments are held during the months of November-March. All tournaments guarantee three games. The tournaments are held for traveling and in-house basketball teams in grades 4-12. The divisions of competition are A (advance), B (intermediate), C (beginning) and Rec (in-house).
