Minnesota Youth Athletic Services (MYAS) Co-founder and Executive Director, Dan Klinkhammer has spent 20 years building the MYAS into the largest multi-sport, statewide youth sports organization in the US. Dan's previous work experiences includes: Youth Director for the Winona Family YMCA; Community Services Director for the City of Pipestone, MN; City Recreation Director for Winona, MN and Program Director for the MN Sports Federation. He also has 25+ years of valuable experience as a football, basketball, baseball, volleyball and softball official at the recreation, high school and collegiate level. He credits much of his insights to the fact that besides being a youth sports professional for over 30 years; he has also been an athlete, coach, official, administrator and parent. That combination allows him to personally identify with everyone who participates or volunteers in youth sports. Dan has served as an Adjunct Faculty member at Winona State University and currently lectures every semester to Sports Management undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Minnesota and Hamline University. Dan has also served on the Executive Committee of the AAU National Baseball Committee and currently serves on the Executive Committee of the USSSA National Basketball Committee.
