United State Amateur Basketball Team Insurance

If you are an individual basketball team (or a small club) looking for liability and medical accident insurance, we recommend that you sign up with the USAB (United State Amateur Basketball).  The USAB offers $2 million of liability insurance coverage and $100,000 of medical accident insurance, with a $100 deductible.  Their coverage is applicable for all practices and/or games, wherever you play!
What does it cost? 
  • A USSSA annual team membership is $25.00 and the liability/accident medical team insurance is $89.00 per team.
  • A USSSA annual team membership in a league (6 teams or more) is $25.00 per team but the liability/ accident medical is $61.00 per team for a group team purchase.

USSSA Youth Baseball Team Insurance

Gopher State Baseball League Teams Announcement

All USSSA insurance baseball fees must be submitted to the MYAS with a separate check made payable to “USSSA Insurance”.

  • Only USSSA registered teams may purchase this insurance.
  • USSSA team insurance covers the play and practice of amateur activities in the insured sport, including organized/sanctioned activities of other associations.
  • Coverage begins the day after the postmark on your envelope which must be sent to MYAS/GSBL with your team enrollments and a separate check payable to USSSA Insurance.
  • Policy effective dates are the day after the postmark through 07/31/2011.
  • General Liability coverage is provided for players, coaches, managers, sponsors and volunteers of the team.
  • Accident Medical Coverage is excess to any other collectible insurance; primary if no other insuranceis in force.
  • The plan pays for covered medical expenses incurred within three years after an accident, to a maximum of $100,000 per accident for each insured person. Treatment must begin within 30 days of an accident. Coverage is provided on a secondary basis. If other collectible insurance is in force, it must be used as primary. If no other coverage is in force, this coverage becomes primary. Deductibles will apply on primary and excess basis.
