About USAB

New for 2017! The MYAS has committed to a partnership to affiliate our Gopher State Spring Basketball program with United States Amateur Basketball (USAB).

USAB is a new national organization that is already established in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Indiana, South Carolina, Tennessee and Wisconsin. USAB is a cohesive national basketball platform that brings together the top grassroots tournament operators from around the country. Their goal is to bring together tournament operators from across the country to standardize and increase the quality of the tournaments being offered.

Gopher State Spring Basketball tournaments will be USAB sanctioned events and serve as state qualifiers for USAB National Tournaments. The 2017 USAB Boys National Tournament will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, at the beautiful Suwanne Sports Academy on June 29-July 2. The 2017 USAB Girls National Tournament will be held in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, at Rocky Top Sports World on June 22-25.

The MYAS will register all the teams that participate in our Gopher State Spring Basketball Tournaments with the USAB free of charge. The teams will have the option to purchase USAB team insurance, which provides coverage for USAB sanctioned events and all non-sanctioned events!

The MYAS is very excited about our partnership with the USAB. Please click here to learn more about this brand new national basketball organization.
