MYAS and D1 Minnesota Announce Partnership

Minnesota Youth Athletic Services ("MYAS"), Minnesota’s home for youth sports, and D1 Minnesota Basketball ("D1MN"), Minnesota’s premier youth basketball program, announced today it has formed a partnership to create and develop community-based teams, during the months of March -August. This partnership will also jointly operate selected tournaments and explore additional product offerings that include training and development and more event opportunities such as 3-on-3 leagues.

 “Our vision in this partnership is to greatly expand resources, programming, training/development and solutions for youth basketball players of all skill levels, throughout the state of Minnesota. We are excited to launch this unique partnership, with the nationally recognized brand of D1 Minnesota. This partnership blends two proven youth basketball organizations together to: enhance tournament and event opportunities for all levels of play during the spring/summer and assemble teams, which create an unlimited number of opportunities for 10u-17u basketball players, of all skill levels. Joining forces with D1 Minnesota, will fulfill our goal, of providing the highest quality of athletic programs for Minnesota’s young people ”, said MYAS Executive Director,  Dawson Blanck.

The newly created partnership will establish teams that will play under the name "Team Minnesota" and will be jointly administered by MYAS and D1MN.  Team Minnesota will initially involve boys teams in the 10u -17u age levels.

"D1 Minnesota has built a nationally recognized brand, by focusing on skill development, teamwork and dedication to the game of basketball" said Jeremy Miller, Managing Director of D1 Minnesota. " The goal of our partnership with MYAS is to widen our reach and positively impact as many players across Minnesota as possible!"

The establishment of teams under Team Minnesota will began in the Spring of 2022 and the partnership tournaments will occur in April through June of 2022.
