BECKER, MN - The Gopher State Fall 3v3 League tipped off this past weekend in Becker. Hundreds of athletes from grades 4-10 packed the Becker Field House on Sunday evening for the first week of Fall 3v3 basketball action.

The Fall 3v3 League in Becker is the final Gopher State 3v3 League of the 2024 season following the summer circuit. Rosemount, Centennial, and Eagan played host throughout July and August to great success.

September 15th was the first of five Sundays of 3v3 action for teams. Each team played a pair of 20-minute contests to start their seasons. The fall league will see 21 girls and 30 boys teams compete throughout the season.

With no coaches allowed, the league serves as a great opportunity for kids to play basketball in a competitive, but also fun, environment. The 3v3 league also is a great warm-up as the players inch their way closer to the winter season.

On the court, the fast-paced style of basketball is an entertaining watch. While the athletes not only improve their individual skills in this environment, the league also is a great place to build close connections with teammates that they can carry over into the 5v5 game. Quick and confident decision-making is crucial in a small-sided game and will benefit the players when they move to the winter season.

The Gopher State Fall League will conclude on October 6 when teams play their final two games. Good luck to all those competing this season and we look forward to another great session of 3v3 Hoops!
