2026 MYAS/Gopher State Baseball General Umpire Policies & Procedures
Please contact your association umpire assignor, your visiting coach and the GSBL immediately if any of your games are cancelled because of weather. Decisions should be made by 3:45pm, on the day of the game.
Umpire No-Show Procedure
The GSBL hopes to eliminate all “no-shows,” but we must also have a policy in the event you do have a “no-show.” Both Head Coaches must agree to one of the following:
- Give a 15-minute grace period for the umpire to show and call your designated umpire assignor if the umpire doesn’t arrive in that time.
- Start the game with a mutually agreed upon substitute umpire. Substitute umpires will be compensated based on the number of innings they officiate (see No-Show Umpire Invoice).
- Do not play the game; attempt to reschedule.
Note: Please communicate with the GSBL if a “no-show” occurs. Substitute umpires will be paid for their services. The head coach must submit the No-Show Umpire Invoice within 48 hours of the game date to receive payment.
Note: This umpire “no-show” policy applies to all teams.
The no-show invoice submission only applies to teams that are using MYAS/Gopher State assignors.
