What is the MWT?

The Midwest Wrestling Tour (MWT) will encompass the Gopher State Nationals, the Badgerland Nationals, the Hawkeye Nationals and the Yellowjacket Nationals and will showcase the phenomenal youth wrestling that the Upper Midwest has to offer.

Highlighting the MWT is the prized MWT Belt. The quality of the MWT Belt will be consistent with the custom medals that the wrestlers covet so much. Wrestlers placing 1st-4th in three of the four MWT events will be awarded the MWT Belt.

The MWT was created to give the wrestlers in the Midwest the opportunity to wrestle in tournaments that draw wrestlers from multiple states with limited travel. The MWT tournaments have drawn wrestlers from 10-12 different states each year throughout the Midwest and as far away as California, Arizona, Colorado, Wyoming, Louisiana, Florida and Georgia.

Participants of the MWT tournaments can expect first class competition, organization, communication, facilities, table workers, officials, awards and bracketing. We are very confident the participants will have a very good experience at each of the MWT events.

The MWT is administered by the Minnesota Youth Athletic Services (MYAS).
